Pep & Rash’s debut collaboration with the siblings of Shermanology is absolute fire. The deep house tune fuses Pep & Rash and Shermanology’s signature, groovy basslines with Dorothy Sherman’s infectious vocals. The breakdown is very emotional with peaceful piano chords and melodic female vocals, and then leads into a rhythmic drop that will set the tone for any crowd. ‘Sugar’ has already received an incredible amount of support from the likes of Oliver Heldens, Diplo, Sam Feldt, and Don Diablo. We guarantee you’ll hear this one on a dancefloor somewhere and it will keep your body movin’.
Jesse van de Ketterij and Rachid El Uarichi, aka Pep & Rash, have been turning heads in the dance music scene this past year. They released their debut single, ‘Fatality’ almost a year ago, which garnered a ton of support from big time DJs. Quintino’s world-renowned edit of the single premiered on Pete Tong’s BBC Radio 1… an incredible feat for a first release. Since then they have remixed the likes of Tchami, R3HAB, and Alesso. While they have only released three singles, two of them have surpassed 1 million plays on Soundcloud and their biggest hit, ‘Rumors’ received official remixes from Curbi, Tujamo, and Deniz Koyu. It’ll be exciting to see how the rest of 2015 pans out for these Spinnin’ residents.
While the Sherman siblings are veterans in the dance scene, their breakthrough came in 2012 when they collabed with the legendary Afrojack on ‘Can’t Stop Me’. After that they soared in the Dirty Dutch scene and became a part of Afrojack’s collective. They have also achieved great success as a solo project. The duo has dabbled with just about every genre from deep house to dirty dutch and big room, electro/progressive-house. Their recent EP, ‘The Phylosophy’, released on Dirty Soul Music just over two weeks ago and has resonated on a global scale with house music fans.
